RULES AND REGULATIONS :
1 – The competition is open to all film-makers who wish to submit their First Documentary arthouse film - produced from 2020 onwards.
If it is a co-production, it must be the first documentary film of each of the 2 directors.
2 – News films, commercials, advertisements, reports, tourist or business films and clips won't be regarded as 'arthouse films'.
3 – Screening material : preferably DCP (in priority) or Blu-ray.
4 – A ChrOma committee will make a selection amongst the submitted films.
A Paramount Jury composed of professionals will attend the Festival and decide of the prize-list.
A high school jury will also award a prize to the film of their choice and the spectators will vote to award the public prize.
The awards will go to the filmmaker(s).
5 – The entry form must be posted along with the submission fee and a DVD (DVDs won't be returned.).
A Vimeo link valid from the preselection period to the month of November can be provided if a DVD is not possible.
6 – Non French films must be subtitled.
7 – The recipients of the festival's prize are entitled to use their award to promote their film.
8 – Short extracts or stills from the selected films may be broadcast in the media either on local, regional or national TV channels to promote the festival.
9 – ChrOma would very much appreciate to see the filmmaker -preferably – or his (her) representative attend the whole festival.
He will benefit from the support of his stay :
- accommodation and catering (except sunday noon)
- reimbursement of transport costs on presentation of supporting documents, up to a limit of € 80 per person (2 maximum in case of co-production).
Candidates present undertake to honor the appointments scheduled within the framework of the Premier Doc Competition.
10 – ChrOma cannot assume liability for any delay or loss in postal services or mail deliveries.
11 – ChrOma is entitled to alter the above regulations or to cancel the competition if required by circumstances.
12 - Any film sent to be selected to Premier Doc competition cannot be submitted to any other part of the Festival the same year.
13 – Once a film has been submitted and selected it cannot be withdrawn from the festival by either the film-maker or his(her) representative.
14 – Before any film is listed for the First Documentary Film Festival, the filmmaker or his(her) representative will have agreed with the above regulations.

No registration will be taken into account if the standard fee hasn't been paid.
The 10€ fee is compulsory for any film submitted to the competition.
Film schools are exempt from submission fees. Only 3 films can be submitted. Payment will be made automatically by Paypal transfer on the DocFilmDepot platform.
